He thinks there's more to come from the Brazilian.

Teddy Sheringham welcomed Richarlison’s goalscoring efforts against Newcastle, and now wants to see the Brazilian kick on.

The 26-year-old Brazilian explained that recent surgery had fixed a problem that had left him unable to shoot without being in pain, but manager Ange Postecoglou has said that he sees the striker moving more freely, and has backed him to keep on scoring.

Speaking to the Gambling Zone, former Tottenham forward Sheringham wants the same.

He said: “Goals change people’s opinions of you as a player. I thought Richarlison played OK against Newcastle, but when you score a brace, people will say that you had a great game.

“That’s the life of a professional footballer. Richarlison needs to start scoring goals for Tottenham consistently. He can’t get too carried away with himself after these goals.

“He needs to keep a level head on his shoulders and realise that he needs to do a job every single time he puts on a Tottenham shirt regardless of if he puts the ball in the back of the net. His performances can improve – he can still get better.

“Today Richarlison is the hero because he scored two goals. I love that.”
