England's Euro 2024 journey continues this weekend when they face Switzerland in the tournament's quarter-finals.
Much has been made of how Gareth Southgate's side have performed thus far in the tournament, needing a last-second equaliser from Jude Bellingham to help them squeeze past Slovakia in the last round.
The Swiss present an even bigger threat and comfortably dispatched of holders Italy in the previous round, meaning England will need to improve if they are to make the final four.
Asked for his thoughts on the game, former England striker Teddy Sheringham has given his prediction, as well as what type of match we could see in Dusseldorf.
“It’s going to be very tight against Switzerland,” he told Poker Sites.
“The supporters aren’t expecting England to win 6-0 anymore. Switzerland have been in and around the late stages of big tournaments for a while now and they know how to play. As long as we get through the next round, I think the English public will be okay with that.
“It’s going to be a hard-fought game – I’m going with a 1-0 win. I’d take that all day long!”
