Germany striker Timo Werner is back playing football in London after a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur was agreed on Tuesday.
Werner's move includes an option for Spurs to buy the forward in the summer on a permanent move from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The 27-year-old joined Premier League rivals Chelsea back in 2020 in a £45m deal before moving back to his former club.
The striker - who will wear the number 16 for Tottenham - has 57 caps for Germany, scoring 24 times for his country.
Whether Werner becomes a permanent member of the Spurs squad in the summer remains to be seen, but in the short term the move could benefit both parties.
Werner has not played for his country since a friendly back in March 2023, and with the 2024 European Championships taking place in Germany, a positive loan spell at Spurs could improve his chance of being included in Julian Nagelsmann's squad.
Werner's arrival also helps bolster the Spurs attack, with Son Heung-min away at the Asia Cup with South Korea and James Maddison still out with injury.
With Son and Maddison out, manager Ange Postecoglou will hope Werner gels with Richarlison, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski to help Spurs back into the Premier League's top four places.
Tottenham are six points behind league leaders Liverpool, and dropped outside the Champions League places when losing to Brighton on 28 December.
Werner's first chance to impress comes this Sunday against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
