The Turkish and Italian champions reach their second match with different sensations. Galatasaray lost in their UWCL Group Stage debut against eight-time title holders Lyon, whereas AS Roma won by one goal at the start of the European campaign.

Welcoming the UWCL Group Stage for the first time at the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadyumu, Galatasaray will look to bounce back from their first loss in their debut, already showing the world the quality of their squad, the focus on goalkeeper Gamze Yaman, who shinned for her team making 11 saves in 90 minutes played.

AS Roma arrives for their first away game with three points to their name after their debut against two times champions Wolfsburg, taking the field to keep their UEFA Women’s Champions League Group Stage positive record going, relying on players like Manuela Giugliano, who scored from the penalty spot the only goal from their first match.

Real Madrid vs Celtic FC: Two squads looking for first set of points

Venue: Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium, Madrid
Date: Thursday, October 17 | 18:45 CET / 12:45 ET

Real Madrid showed great football in their Group B debut, falling one goal short of getting the draw against last season's semifinalist Chelsea. In their first home game, they’ll fight to turn their numbers around with footballers like Linda Caicedo, the Colombian sensation who scored their late second goal against the English side, part of their offensive line that’ll look to get the back to the back of the net as many times as possible.

Scottish debutants Celtic FC lost in their UEFA Women’s Champions League debut against Twente FC. They did not leave the pitch before getting control of the ball in the midfield, led by Natalie Ross, a player that fans will be watching after creating three key passes to even things out in their first Group B match.

VfL Wolfsburg vs Olympique Lyon: Old Champions meet again

Venue: Wolfsburg Stadion, Wolfsburg
Date: Thursday, October 17 | 21:00 CET / 15:00 ET

Old rivals meet-up came early in the 2024/2024 UEFA Women’s Champions League season, with two times champions Wolfsburg sharing the pitch once again with eight times winners Olympique Lyon for the first time since the 2019/2020 Final, in which the French giant came out with the win.

Wolfsburg will be looking to rise from their one-goal loss against AS Roma in their first Group A match, using in full force their offensive line led by Alexandra Popp, who, besides knowing very well the team they are facing in their next challenge, had two shots blocked in her quest to pull one goal back against the Italians.

The current Runner-ups started their 2024/2024 UEFA Women’s Champions League journey as they only know how to, with a win against debutants Galatasaray, last season's Top Scorer Kadidiatou Diani going after the title once again, scoring a brace to help Lyon get the first win and set of points to face their next opponent.

FC Twente vs Chelsea: Battle for the top of Group B
