The group stage of this season's UEFA Women's Champions League kicks off on Wednesday and there are some eye-catching matchups to get fans excited.
One of those being the defending champions Lyon taking on Arsenal. After failing to get the past the quarter-final stage during the 2021/22 campaign, the Gunners will be looking to go one better and reach the final. But it doesn't get much tougher than Lyon, however, the French side are without star player Ada Hegerberg which could present the perfect opportunity for Arsenal to start the group stage with a win.
Meanwhile in the French capital, one of last season's semi-finalists, Paris Saint-Germain, face Chelsea who will be looking to improve on their underwhelming performance in the previous edition of the competition. Emma Hayes' side failed to get past the group stage after losing 4-0 to Wolfsburg on Matchday 6. This led to the Blues being knocked out as a result of a three-way tie-break with Juventus and Wolfsburg.
