Following in Jurgen Klopp's footsteps is a daunting task, but UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett backs Arne Slot to succeed as Liverpool's new manager.
Klopp's departure from the club followed a hugely successful tenure that included a Premier League and Champions League title, putting massive pressure on the next manager to produce results at a similar level.
While only time will tell how Slot's stint in charge of the Reds will go, he has led the team to two wins from the first two matches of the season and Liverpool are the only side other than Arsenal to have yet to allow a goal against in league play.
For Pimblett, he's already seen enough from Slot to have faith that the Dutch manager will continue Klopp's legacy at Anfield.
“The new manager's come across great in interviews and stuff like that," Pimblett told Action Network. "I like his style. Straight to the point. So I'm liking it so far."
"Didn't perform in the first half that well against Ipswich, but in the second half, we came out and blew them away. So looking forward to this season, I think we're gonna shock a lot of people. I think the Slot's gonna shut a lot of people up.”
