UFC welterweight fighter Gilbert Burns believes that Neymar has the talent to make the switch to mixed martial arts.
Neymar is currently injured and not playing for Brazil at the Copa America, and currently plies his trade in the Saudi Pro League, but at Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona before then, he was one of the biggest stars in world football.
Brazil is well known for developing some of the most talented footballers in the world, but has also produced several MMA superstars over the years.
Speaking to CasinoOnlineIN , Burns thinks that Neymar’s aptitude on the pitch could translate to success in the cage.
He said: “Neymar is more of a technical guy. Within the fight community we have those guys who are savages, who can really get down and fight and get hit.
“And then there are guys who use strategy, they get by on points to win. I think Neymar can fight, I just don't know how deep he would dig in a fight. I don't think he's a savage.
“Anyone can fight but when things get dirty and things get real then we see who is a real fighter and I don't think he's that.”
