For the Premier League teams pursuing Spain star Nico Williams this summer, William Gallas says the time has already passed.
Williams had a standout tournament for the Euro 2024-winning Spanish side, leading to clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool to add him to their summer shopping lists.
However, one of the giants of Williams' home country has also joined the race to sign the 22-year-old winger from Atletico Madrid, and Gallas told Gambling Zone that the English clubs might as well pack it in.
"Too late! Sorry Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans, or fans of any club that have been linked with Nico Williams, you’re too late," Gallas said.
"He is going to go to Barcelona. I'm sure Barcelona is going to try to do everything they can to get that boy, especially when you see the relationship that he has with Lamine Yamal.
"They are two players that complement each other perfectly on the pitch and off it, they look like they’re really great friends. They're always together."
