William Gallas is unsure whether Nico Williams could adapt to the physicality of the Premier League.
Williams has been linked with a summer transfer to Chelsea, and the 22-year-old's starring role for Spain at Euro 2024 has only made him a more desirable target for the London club.
However, former Chelsea defender Gallas raised the issue of Williams' adaptability after spending his entire professional career in Spain, telling Lord Ping that it's a concern even if he ultimately believes the Spaniard would overcome the issue.
"Nico Williams is someone you don’t want to play against, I know that for sure," Gallas said. "I watched him against Italy when he was Man of the Match and he was very dangerous throughout the game.
"I understand why Chelsea want him as technically he’s brilliant and I think he’d flourish at that club, but the Premier League is so physical and you worry about whether he can adapt.
"He’d be very difficult to mark and has some good quality, but the Premier League is so physical and you have to question whether he’d fit there, I think he would from what I saw."
