This season could be Spainard's last in the Premier League.

The Premier League title race looks likely to be a face-off between Manchester City and Arsenal once again, with the Gunners determined to finally topple the champion's dominance.

It's a battle that sees two of the league's best managers going head-to-head, with Mikel Arteta looking to get the better of his former mentor Pep Guardiola.

Talking to BetVictor, former Gunners star Emmanuel Petit can see similarities between the two coaches and stated that Arteta has had the same influence on his team as Guardiola has at City.

“Pep Guardiola is the best manager in the world,” said Petit.

“But he knows that the competition for the Premier League is fierce. It will be even more difficult for him to win it than it was last season, when they had Liverpool and Arsenal both fighting for the title.

“Arsenal look very confident and you can see the work they’re putting in. Guardiola is the main man but Arteta has shown over the past few seasons that he’s here to stay and he wants to win the Premier League. You can see the rage and the passion on the touchline. He gives the players ambition and vision and they’re willing to follow him.

“Guardiola has been exactly like that at City for the past few seasons, and now Arteta is doing it at Arsenal.”
