Frauen Bundesliga
Bayern Munich’s comprehensive victory in Cologne ensured that the Bavarians stayed top, but Wolfsburg answered back with an impressive home win against Eintracht Frankfurt. As a result, the Eagles are now looking nervously over their shoulder at Hoffenheim who are creeping closer.
Game of the Weekend: Leverkusen vs Hoffenheim - Sun 18th, 8:00am ET/2:00pm CET
Although their unlikely title charge has faded, Hoffenheim are still hopeful of securing UWCL football for next year. They currently sit 5 points behind Eintracht in 3rd, and could be as far as 8 points before kick-off, due to their own inconsistent form. Another slip-up against similarly erratic Leverkusen could kill the European dreams.
Best of the Rest: Nurnberg vs Wolfsburg - Sat 17th, 6:00am ET/12:00pm CET
She-Wolves fans are still reeling from the news that star midfielder Lena Oberdorf has already chosen to leave to join FC Bayern from the summer. Tommy Stroot’s team can’t afford to let it affect them as they visit a lowly Nurnberg side scrapping for survival.

Serie A Femminile
The penultimate regular matchday saw AS Roma trounce Sassuolo in the midweek, whilst Fiorentina kept their hopes of claiming 2nd alive as they squeezed past Como. Roma are set to claim the regular season title away against La Viola, but it could give a fascinating insight into what will happen with the leagues split. And elsewhere, there is the small matter of a Milan derby…
Game of the Weekend: AC Milan vs Internazionale, Sun. 18th ,11:00am ET/17:00pm CET
Bragging rights are up for grabs in Milan for the last time this season, with both sides finding their fortunes very different as the league splits. Despite being well-fancied, AC Milan find themselves in 6th, safe from relegation but going nowhere. Inter are currently in a very credible 4th, but recent losses have severely dampened UWCL hopes.
Best of the Rest: Sassuolo vs Sampdoria, Sat 17th, 6:30am ET/12:30pm CET
Two more teams with differing fortunes. Sampdoria are fighting to ensure they finish towards the top half of the relegation split, whilst Sassuolo are looking to chase down Internazionale and steal 4th spot.

Liga F
A seismic shock midweek as plucky Levante managed to blunt Barcelona’s home record. The Valencian club ended Barcelona’s incredible winning home run, meaning the Catalans are now just a mere 9 points ahead of Real Madrid. The visitors meanwhile are a single point behind Las Blancas and have built up a cushion in 3rd spot.
Game of the Weekend: FC Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid, Sun. 18th, 12:30pm ET/6:30pm CET
It seems almost inconceivable that Barcelona could fail to win in two matches, but it is a genuine possibility this weekend. Atleti will hope to reverse fortunes after the 1-0 loss in Madrid. On the flipside, Barca will be bruising and may well unleash their full fury on Las Rojiblancas.
Best of the Rest: Real Madrid vs UD Tenerife, Sun. 18th, 10:00am ET/4:00pm CET
The hosts had a rare chance to capitalise on Barcelona slipping up midweek, but they could only grind out a draw against Atletico in yet another Madrid derby. They’ll hope to get back to winning ways against a distinctly midtable UD Tenerife.

Women’s Super League
WSL action took a backseat last weekend as the Women’s FA Cup took centre-stage. Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs and Liverpool all progressed, whilst Arsenal saw another trophy opportunity disappear. They did win their re-arranged Continental Cup Quarter Final, ahead of a monumental - and potentially title-deciding - weekend before the International Break.
Game of the Weekend: Chelsea vs Manchester City, Fri. 16th, 14:15pm ET/8:15pm CET
A huge tussle takes place at Kingsmeadow as Emma Hayes squares off against Gareth Taylor for the final time in the Super League. Both sides come into the fixture in red hot form, and both know that 3 points would be absolutely game-changing ahead of a hectic end-of-season schedule. Which shade of blue will rise highest and top the table as February comes to a close?
Best of the Rest: Arsenal vs Manchester United, Sat 17th, 7:30am ET/13:30pm CET
A sold-out Emirates Stadium will greet these two sides who both know anything less than victory massively impacts their objectives for the season. Jonas Eidevall still holds faint title hopes, whilst Marc Skinner has his eyes on UWCL qualification. There is also the small matter of Alessia Russo and Nikita Parris facing their former clubs….
