AEW Forbidden Door 2024: Swerve Strickland retains World Championship over Will Ospreay in thrillerDAZN
It was an action-packed pay-per-view card from Long Island, New York.

The wave of Swerve Strickland being AEW World Champion continues with quite arguably his most thrilling title defense yet.

Strickland got about all he could handle from Will Ospreay before finally putting away "The Aerial Assassin" to retain his championship in the headliner of AEW Forbidden Door 2024 at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York on Sunday night.

It took one House Call kick to knock Ospreay out on his feet, before another House Call followed by JML Driver finally spelled the end of Ospreay's World Championship chances.

The ending punctuated brilliant exchanges from two of the best that pro wrestling has to offer.

Forbidden Door 2024 also had Tetsuya Naito defeating Jon Moxley to become the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and "The CEO" Mercedes Mone submitting Stephanie Vaquer to become a double champion as she added the NJPW Strong title to her own TBS Championship.

Here's how the entire AEW Forbidden Door 2024 pay-per-view main card went.
