Tama Tonga appears to be looking for a fresh challenge and he has one big admirer in WWE if he decides to make the switch there.
After a successful period in NJPW, Tonga is reported to be a free agent and many wrestling observers expect him to end up in WWE instead of making the move to AEW.
In recent years, Tony Khan’s company have forged a solid partnership with NJPW and have signed a number of their leading talents including Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, and Will Ospreay.
Tonga could be one they miss out on, and AJ Styles is hoping to see Tonga join WWE.
“Well, I think, the sky’s the limit. This guy can get after it. I know how good Tama is. So, the fact that he may be coming over would be awesome,” said Styles when speaking on the Battleground podcast.
“I was hoping he’d come over a long time ago, but he didn’t have any interest back then. So, if there’s interest now, he’s making the right decision.”
