CM Punk will compete in his first singles match since returning to WWE in November on Saturday, when he finally faces Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam.
Punk's controversial return to the company has been curtailed since a tricep injury sustained in January's Royal Rumble. In the interim, he's been involved in one of the hottest verbal battles of the year with the Scottish Warrior, and now the pair will finally meet one-on-one in Cleveland with Seth 'Freakin' Rollins in the middle as guest referee.
However, following Saturday's clash, Punk told ESPN First Take he won't be looking to continue his battle with McIntyre and wants to explore the plethora of options open to him in the WWE locker room.
"I'm done with Drew after Saturday," Punk said.
"I can put him in my rearview mirror and focus on bigger and better things. This is about me coming back to WWE and about the fans. Drew injured me and gloated about it. I have to teach him a lesson on Saturday. I can beat the crap out of him on live TV. I'm excited.
"There is an embarrassment of riches of talent in WWE now. There are people I have stories with that we can revisit. There are people I've never shared a ring with. I'm excited to do all of those things."
