The main event for WrestleMania 40 is official and it will see Roman Reigns defend his world title against Cody Rhodes.
The bout, a rematch from last year’s WrestleMania, was originally expected to take a backseat to a match between Reigns and The Rock, but last week’s press conference in Las Vegas confirmed what will close the show.
For now, it appears that The Rock and Reigns will be working together as they protect their family name.
That’s the item that has brought the pair together ahead of the biggest WWE show of the year, but Eric Bischoff, a former high-profile figure inside WWE, is expecting Reigns to push boundaries when he gets to Philadelphia in April.
"I think Roman will resort to something so hideous and despicable that it actually would be despised by the family. They would actually be disgusted by it,” said Bischoff when speaking on 83 Weeks.
"Rock sees that, he remembers what his family is and what they represent to him, and their legacy, and is embarrassed, for lack of a better term, by what Roman does.
“Rock sees the attributes in Cody, and eventually, I don't know how it comes together, but Rock acknowledges Cody for being right, and for standing up for his family, and doing it as a better man. That's the story I see. Literally thinking out loud."
