Former WWE superstar Lana has praised Liv Morgan's ongoing WWE story.
Morgan captured the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch at May's King and Queen of the Ring and has since been a major part of Monday Night Raw thanks to her current angle with Dominik Mysterio and The Judgement Day.
Her starring role is set to lead to a big SummerSlam match with former champion Rhea Ripley, and Lana, real name CJ Lee, believes it's the perfect role for Morgan.
"She's in the perfect casting. She's an incredible worker, she's an incredible athlete," she said in an interview with USA Today Sports.
"At the end of the day, professional wrestling is scripted television, where we want to believe what you're doing is real, and she's the hot girl. We love her. Those are exciting stories to tell on television."
Perry also believes that the story also shows how much value the female talent can bring to WWE programming, especially given how well Morgan has performed.
"Women need to be represented, and yes we are different than men," she said.
"But we bring value. We can sell tickets. I mean look at Liv Morgan right now. It shows you that we need everything. We need the competitors, we need the badasses, we need the love stories and there's a spot for everyone."
