Tony Khan is a huge admirer of Jon Moxley as the current AEW world champion prepares to defend his strap this Saturday at AEW Full Gear.
Moxley has enjoyed a remarkable 2022 with numerous reigns as world champion combined with a number of outstanding matches against a variety of rivals.
At the backend of last year, Moxley took time off from his wrestling career to address personal issues, but his comeback has placed him at the forefront of the wrestling world.
Headlining another PPV this Saturday night, Moxley has a chance to enhance his legacy against the fast-rising MJF, and Khan is in awe of the man who has carried his company for large portions this year.
“Since he returned to AEW the best condition he's been in, he’s been a dominant champion," said Khan when speaking to DAZN.
“When you look at all the great matches and the year he’s had, Jon Moxley is the best world champion in all of pro wrestling. He’s probably had the best year of anyone in pro wrestling.”
