Wrestling fans expected a classic when it was announced that Bryan Danielson would face Will Ospreay at Dynasty.
Two of the world’s best talents were almost guaranteed to put on a memorable encounter and that’s exactly how it went down as Ospreay won a scorching match against the decorated veteran.
Combining technical wrestling with aerial action, Ospreay and Danielson went full throttle for over half an hour in arguably the finest match of each man’s career.
Competing on a show that included FTR vs. The Young Bucks, the return of Jack Perry, and Swerve Strickland’s world title win, Danielson and Ospreay stole the show in their terrific encounter.
In the immediate aftermath, many wrestling observers were quick to praise the match with Dave Meltzer suggesting it could be the greatest match to ever take place in North America.
Cagematch, a wrestling site dedicated to rating shows and matches doesn't quite go that far, but the match does rank high.
As it stands, the match has a rating of 9.72 from the site’s users and although this rating places it behind several matches, it does currently sit as the tenth best match on their platform and the best match to take place on American soil.
