WWE tradition to extend to two nights for 2025.

WWE is set to repeat the successful model of WrestleMania weekend after confirming that next year's SummerSlam will be a two-night event.

Since 2020, WrestleMania has been a two-night event across a weekend, with two separate cards and two major main events. Now, after announcing that Minneapolis was hosting a two-night SummerSlam in 2026, WWE has confirmed that this will be the new blueprint for the show going forward by revealing that New Jersey will host two shows across SummerSlam weekend in 2025.

SummerSlam 2025

New Jersey's famous MetLife Stadium will host the first-ever two-night for SummerSlam across August 2nd and 3rd next year, which for the first time will be streamed on Netflix in the UK.

SummerSlam is one of WWE's longest-running shows. Now in its 38th year, the first event took place in 1988, where in the main event Hulk Hogan and Randy 'Macho Man' Savage took on the team of Andre the Giant and The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase.
