Mercedes Mone has arrived in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The former Sasha Banks from WWE was heavily expected to make an appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 17, and she didn’t disappoint after making her way to the ring following Kairi’s women’s title defence against Tam Nakano.
Kairi’s quick win was immediately overshadowed when Mone made her way to the ring, and it appeared that there was a mutual respect as the pair shook hands.
The original niceties were quickly forgotten as Mone launched an attack on Kairi and referred to herself as ‘The CEO’ with her former moniker, ‘The Boss,’ seemingly a distant memory.
Mone made it clear that she’ll be at NJPW’s February event in San Jose, Battle in the Valley, and at this stage, it looks like Kairi will be her opponent.
The match isn’t official yet, but Mone has played her part in ensuring that all eyes will be on the show.
