Mercedes Mone has said have already rubbed some up the wrong way in AEW, despite only making her debut for the company this week.
The former world champion made her bow at AEW's Big Business Dynamite show in her hometown of Boston, signalling her much-anticipated arrival.
However, earlier in the week, just days before her debut, Mone has said in an interview that she knows that one day she will be back in WWE. A comment that raised eyebrows and provoked questions as to why the former Sasha Banks was already plotting her next move.
According to Dave Meltzer in The Wrestling Observer, her comments didn't go down too well, and many in AEW were put out by Mone's suggestion.
“Boy did this one rub a lot of people the wrong way," he said.
"Time will tell, and quite frankly she should always have it in her mind the possibility of going to WWE, but saying so days before she’s about to start in AEW wouldn’t be the right time politically to say that.
"There is a reality that some people consider AEW as the place they want to be and some see it as a place to make money until getting the call to come back.”
