A new TNT champion was crowned on the pilot episode of Collision as Luchasaurus produced a stunning upset to defeat Wardlow.
The latter headed into the bout in excellent form following a dominant display against Jake Hager on last week’s Dynamite, but the numbers game caught up with him when he was beaten by Luchasaurus thanks to help from Christian Cage.
Wardlow has been feduing with the veteran for a number of weeks now and it was Cage’s intervention that relieved Wardlow of his belt.
Fully in control of the bout, Wardlow allowed himself to be caught cold by Cage and he was hit with a camera which allowed Luchasaurus to take advantage and become champion.
Cage grabbed the title immediately after the three count and celebrated with the new champion as a fallen Wardlow tried to comprehend what had just occurred.
