Six more possible matches that could take place at WrestleMania 40

Six more possible matches that could take place at WrestleMania 40DAZN
WWE's biggest event of the year takes place in April.

Following the fallout of Saturday's Elimination Chamber event, two more matches were added to the card for WrestleMania 40.

Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre, while Becky Lynch's chamber win means she will challenge Rhea Ripley for her Women's World Heavyweight title in Philadelphia.

Events in Perth also gave us some clues as to what else could be added to the card ahead of the April event, so here are six possible matches that may take place...

Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton

The most obvious set-up to come out of the Elimination Chamber was WWE setting up Logan Paul's WrestleMania clash with Randy Orton. It was Paul who cost the Viper inside the Chamber, after hitting him with the brass knucks despite already being eliminated from the match, and it paves the way for Orton's WrestleMania storyline in what will be another high-profile outing for Paul. With Randy not really needing the US Title either, there's a chance that the social media star finds a way to beat the WWE veteran, too.

LA Knight vs. AJ Styles

You don't fly someone halfway around the globe to do a run-in and then not follow it up with a mega match-up - and that's exactly what's happening here. Styles' attack on LA Knight is only going one way and that's a WrestleMania meeting between the two big names. It's probably not the title match many expected for Knight, or indeed he hoped for, but WWE will make it one of the leading 'grudge matches' going into events in Philly.

Gunther vs. Sami Zayn

WWE are clearly building something with Sami Zayn's losing streak and the story of him being unable to find a place on the WrestleMania card, so could the pay-off be finally ending Gunther's record reign with the Intercontinental Championship? There isn't a clear opponent for Gunther on Monday Night Raw, and although his downfall may serve a more up-and-comer better, Zayn winning would make for a nice moment on the night

Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso

This was locked in as soon as Jimmy turned on Jey as part of the Bloodline story last summer. WWE have done really well in keeping the brothers apart and ensuring interest hasn't waned in seeing the two come face-to-face, but it appears they are finally pulling the trigger on this sibling spectacular. Jimmy costing his brother the Intercontinental title this past Monday will kickstart their feud and lead to a dream match for one of WWE's greatest-ever tag teams.

The Judgement Day vs. Awesome Truth

R-Truth's re-emergence in 2024 has been one of the stories of the year, and it looks like leading to a major WrestleMania match. Truth's 'removal' from The Judgement Day, has brought The Miz back into the fold and together as Awesome Truth, they look a shoe-in to take the WWE Undisputed tag team titles off Finn Balor and Damian Priest in what would be R-Truth's first-ever WrestleMania victory.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax

Having lost out in the Elimination Chamber, there doesn't seem like a clear path to Philadephia for the EST of WWE. Her interaction with Jade Cargill at the Royal Rumble suggests there are plans for the pair to work together, but it feels too early for a one-on-one for both the feud and Cargill's development. However, putting them together against Jax, who's on the run of her career, and Stratton, who WWE are ready to strap a rocket to, could be a great showcase for the women's division.
