A wrestling legend has expressed his hope of finally being included in WWE's Hall of Fame.
The annual event the night before WrestleMania sees former Superstars celebrated for their contribution to the company and the industry, but one name that has surprisingly not yet been honoured is Lex Luger.
Luger was a massive name during the 1990s and memorably headlined SummerSlam '93 after being the one to bodyslam Yokozuna in the build to their championship match.
The 'Total Package' was also a two-time world champion in WCW and played a major role in the Monday night wars between the two leading companies.
Asked about the possibility of a Hall of Fame induction on Busted Open Radio, the 66-year-old admitted he's hopeful of finally getting his moment in the spotlight.
“Ohh, I’d love to be. Absolutely.” Luger confessed.
“I’m very optimistic, and I just think they have a way of doing it that I don’t think any of us are totally aware of. A formula, timing, all that. So I’m very optimistic that eventually I’ll be in. I really, really am.”
Last month, another name from the 90s also motioned for his inclusion into the Hall of Fame following Vince McMahon's departure from WWE, as Sycho Sid revealed he's still contracted to the company.
