Baron Corbin has revelled in winning his first WWE championship in six years, after he captured the NXT Tag Team titles this week.
Corbin last held gold in 2017, when he lost the United States Championship to Dolph Ziggler at Clash of Champions.
Since then, the 39-year-old has gone through a number of character changes but failed to land another championship.
However, since returning to NXT last year, Corbin has found renewed vigour, culminating in winning the NXT Tag Team titles with tag team partner Bron Breakker.
Corbin took to Instagram to celebrate the victory, and in a heart-warming post, credited Breakker and the NXT creative team for helping him become a champion again.
He posted: "Damn this felt good! 6 years since I’ve held gold! @bronbreakkerwwe has made absolutely wreaking dudes so much fun!! He’s one hell of a team mate. I’m glad I could lead him to gold haha and I truly believe that we are the absolute best tag team in WWE
"HBK, Johnny R, Baldo, Terry T and Steve C have just absolute lit the fire in me from the moment they allowed me to come back to @wwenxt and reinvent my self and allowing me to be ME.
"Also the fans in NXT are always on fire so thank you!!! You play a massive part in our success.
