How to view age-restricted content? (Parental PIN, Youth Protection)
In order to protect the access of minors to cataloged content for those over 18 years of age, DAZN provides a Youth Protection tool that allows restricting access to said content. To configure Youth Protection and, where appropriate, be able to view content restricted to persons over 18 years of age, it is necessary to enter the so-called Parental PIN before viewing the content: a 4-digit code that you will have to activate previously in Configuration in your account, in the Youth Protection section.
How do I know what content requires Parental PIN?
Content restricted to over 18s is marked in the image with a small box with the number 18. Currently all MMA and boxing competitions age restricted content. When you click on the content, it will ask for your Parental PIN code, or in case you have not activated yet, it will ask you to configure it in the Youth Protection section first.
How can I configure Youth Protection and activate the PIN code?
The process of verifying your age is very simple: all you have to do is go on your computer to the DAZN website. IMPORTANT: This process cannot be done from the DAZN application.
Once you have accessed www.dazn.com from your computer, select the MENU tab at the top right of the screen, select Settings and choose Youth Protection in the column that appears on the left. Next:
- Set your PIN: Enter a four-digit PIN code that you can easily remember, as you will have to enter it each time you try to view 18+ rated content.
What happens if I have forgotten my PIN?
To reset the PIN, go to the "Youth Protection" section in the "Settings" menu and click on the "Reset PIN now" option.
To configure your new PIN, you will have to enter the digits and characters of your ID.
Click CONTINUE once the message appears confirming that your ID has been successfully verified.
Set your PIN: Enter a PIN that you can easily remember as you will have to enter it every time you try to access content cataloged for over 18 years.
What happens with the data of my ID / passport?
We only use it to validate your age and offer you the possibility of generating your personal PIN.
Can I use my Spanish passport?
No, sorry, for now we only accept passports from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
