Watch DAZN on your Google Chromecast (Back to top)
Chromecast is a device that plugs into the HDMI port of your TV. It's a quick and easy way to convert your TV into a "Smart" TV. You send the video from the DAZN app on your smartphone to the TV using your home WiFi.
Chromecast ultra is capable of connecting via a LAN cable. Please ensure that you are using the same internet connection when you use Chromecast.
Set up your Google Chromecast (Back to top)
Set up your Chromecast by following the steps here and connect your smartphone or tablet:
- Make sure you are using the same Wifi connection as your Chromecast
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the DAZN app. If you're not sure, please visit the Apple app store for Apple devices or the Google Playstore for Android devices.
- Open your DAZN app
- Tap the Chromecast symbol, next to the search icon
- Choose your Chromecast
- The video you choose should now start playing on your TV or monitor. You can browse through different events while still watching your video.
- Once you've setup your Chromecast correctly, the Chromecast icon will appear on the top right of the DAZN app. Tap the Chromecast icon and select your Chromecast's name. Select your video and it will start playing on your TV.
It is not possible to sign up with your Chromecast device. The easiest option to sign up for your DAZN membership is using a web browser on a PC. Click here for more information on how you can sign up for DAZN.
Devices compatible for Chromecast to view DAZN (Back to top)
- Mobile phones and tablets - An iPhone or iPad running iOS9 or above, as well as Android phones and tablets running OS 4.4 or above
- PC Browser- Google Chrome only
- TV`s with built in Chromecast are currently not compatible with DAZN.
- Due to technical limitations of older devices, from 11th March 2021, DAZN will no longer be available on Google Chromecast 1st Generation (Model number: H2G2-42).
We highly recommend to plug the device into the power supply on the wall using the supplied power cable. If you want to connect it to your Smart TV only please make sure that the USB power source specifically states 5V1a. If it doesn’t say 5V1a or says 5V 0.5a then DAZN will sadly not work correctly.
