Troubleshooting on your device

If you’re having trouble watching DAZN on your device, there are a number of fixes you can try yourself to solve the problem. In this article, we’ll give you tips you can try for any device you might be watching on.  
 

Web browser


Run through the steps below to see if you can troubleshoot your browser issues. 
 

1. Check that you’re connected to the internet and that your connection is working. If your computer has a working connection, try going to www.dazn.com. If you don’t get an error message, your internet is working.

2. Check your browser connection speed. This page will give you an idea of how fast your connection is.

3. Try watching an event on DAZN in your browser. Once the new event is playing, switch back to the original event you wanted to watch. If the event you were watching first doesn’t work, there may be issues with your browser. 

4. Try a different web browser. You could try using Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari (on iOS).

5. Delete your cookies and empty your cache.

6. Make sure you’re in a country that has rights to show your chosen event.
PlayStation


Try our troubleshooting steps to resolve streaming issues on your PlayStation console. 
 

1. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 2. 

2. 
Restart the DAZN app.
  • On your controller, press the ‘PS Home’ button
  • Go to the ‘TV and Video’ section and find the DAZN app
  • Press the ‘Options’ button on your controller and select ‘Close app’
  • Find the DAZN app and restart it.
3. Restart your PlayStation. Turn it off and wait for 10 – 20 seconds, then turn it back on.

4. Check if the PSN Store is working and whether you’re able to browse through it. If it’s not working, there might be a problem with the PlayStation Store.

5. Check that your PlayStation is up to date. If it’s not, you might need to update it.
Xbox


If you’re having streaming issues on your Xbox, try the steps below. 

1. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 2.

2. Restart the DAZN app.

  • Press the Xbox button on your controller to return to the home screen
  • Find the DAZN app in your apps and games menu or on your home screen
  • Press the ‘Menu’ or ‘Options’ button on your controller and select ‘Quit’
  • Wait a few seconds, then restart the app.​​
3. Restart your Xbox. Turn it off and unplug it from the power outlet. Then, wait 15 – 20 seconds and plug it back in. Turn it back on.

4. Check whether the Microsoft Store is working and whether you’re able to browse through it. If it’s not working, there might be a problem with the Microsoft Store.  
iPhone and iPad


Use our troubleshooting steps to try and help with streaming issues on your iPad or iPhone. 
 

1. Check whether your device is compatible with the DAZN app. You can see our list of supported devices here.

2. Check that your internet connection is working on your iPhone or iPad. To do this, go to www.dazn.com on your Safari browser. If the page loads, you know your internet connection is working.

3. Restart the DAZN app.
  • Double-click the Home button, or slide up from the bottom of the screen on newer iPhones. This will show your most recently used apps
  • Swipe left or right to find the DAZN app
  • Swipe up on the app preview to close it
  • Restart the app by opening it again.
4. Restart your device. You can go to the Apple website to help with this.

5. Uninstall and reinstall the DAZN app.
  • Touch and hold the DAZN app icon until it shakes
  • Tap the ‘X’ in the top corner of the app
  • Tap ‘Delete’
  • Go to the App Store
  • Search for the DAZN app
  • Click on the small cloud symbol next to the DAZN app to reinstall it.
Android phones and tablets


You can use these tips to troubleshoot streaming issues on your Android phone or tablet. 

1. Check whether your device is compatible with the DAZN app. You can see our list of supported devices here.

2. Check that your internet connection is working on your phone or tablet. To do this, go to www.dazn.com on your phone’s browser. If the page loads, you know your internet connection is working.

3. Force close and restart the app.
  • On your device, tap the ‘Overview’ button. This is usually at the bottom of your screen, showing two rectangles overlapping or a simple square shape
  • Find the DAZN app in the list of app previews that are displayed
  • Drag the app off the screen to close it
  • Reopen the DAZN app.
4. Restart your device.
  • Press and hold the ‘Suspend’ button for a few seconds. This is usually on the right side of the device, above the volume buttons
  • Select ‘Restart’ or ‘Power off’ from the menu that displays on-screen
  • If your device doesn’t restart automatically, hold down the suspend button again until it restarts.
5. Uninstall and reinstall the DAZN app.
  • Open your device’s settings
  • Tap ‘Apps and notifications’
  • Tap the DAZN app and select ‘Uninstall’. If you don’t see the app right away, select ‘See all apps’ or ‘App info’
  • Sign in to the Google Play Store and search for the DAZN app
  • Select ‘Install’.
Samsung Smart TV


You may be able to resolve your issues on your Samsung Smart TV with the below steps. 
 

1. Make sure your TV is up to date. You can find out how to update your Samsung Smart TV on the Samsung website.

2. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 3.

3. Restart the DAZN app.
  • On the DAZN home screen, go to the menu bar at the top
  • Select ‘Exit app’ on the right side of the menu bar
  • From your TV home screen, restart the DAZN app.
4. Try force-closing the DAZN app.
  • On your remote, hold the back button for a few seconds. This should bring up an option to exit the app
  • If this doesn’t work, turn off your TV and unplug it for 10 – 20 seconds. Then plug it back in and restart it.
5. Restart your TV. Turn it off and unplug it for 15 – 20 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it back on.

6. Check whether other streaming apps are working. If you don’t have any other streaming apps, you can see if your app store is working and whether you’re able to browse through it.

7. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • On your TV, find the DAZN app tile. Don’t start it – instead, select it and scroll down to ‘Delete’. Confirm you’d like to delete the DAZN app
  • Find the DAZN app on the app store and reinstall it.
 
LG Smart TV


If you’re having streaming quality issues on your LG Smart TV, these steps may help. 


1. Make sure your TV is up to date. You can find out how to update your LG Smart TV on the official LG support page.

2. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 3.

3. Restart the DAZN app.
  • Start another app, then click the ‘Smarthub’ button on your remote
  • On the left side, you’ll see your activity feed. Find the small ‘X’ in your feed and close the DAZN app
  • From your TV home screen, restart the DAZN app.
4. Try force-closing the DAZN app.
  • On your remote, press the ‘Home’ button and open another app
  • Go to ‘Recent’ apps and find the DAZN app
  • Click upward twice and select ‘OK’ to close the DAZN app.
5. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • On your TV, select the DAZN app and press the green button on your remote to see your options
  • Select ‘Delete’ and press the ‘Enter’ button on your remote. Confirm that you want to delete the app
  • In the LG content store, search for DAZN
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to redownload the app.
6. Restart your TV. Turn off your LG Smart TV and unplug it. Wait for 15 – 20 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it back on.

7. Check whether other streaming apps are working. If you don’t have any other streaming apps, you can see if your app store is working and whether you’re able to browse through it.
Sony Smart TV


Use the steps below to help with issues on your Sony Smart TV. 

1. Make sure your TV is up to date. You can find out how to update your Sony Smart TV on the Sony website.

2. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 3.

3. Restart the DAZN app.

  • On your TV, navigate to the top of the screen until you see the menu bar
  • Select ‘Exit app’ on the right side of the menu
  • Restart the app from your TV home screen.
4. Force close the DAZN app.
  • Go to your settings menu and select ‘Applications’
  • Select ‘Manage applications’, then ‘Downloaded’. Find the DAZN application and select it
  • Press the ‘Enter’ button on your remote again and choose ‘Force stop’. Select ‘OK’ to confirm.
5. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • Follow the steps on the Sony help page to remove the DAZN app
  • Find the DAZN app by searching in the Google Play Store on your TV
  • Select the app and follow the instructions to install it.
6. Restart your TV. Turn it off and unplug it for 15 – 20 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it back on.

7. Check if your App Store is working and whether you’re able to browse through it. If it’s not, there may be a problem with the App Store.
Panasonic Smart TV


Use our steps below to try and troubleshoot your Panasonic Smart TV. 

1. Make sure your TV is up to date. You can find out how to update your Panasonic Smart TV on the Panasonic website.

2. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 3.

3. Restart the DAZN app.

  • On your TV, navigate to the top of the screen until you see the menu bar
  • Select ‘Exit app’ on the right side of the menu
  • Restart the app from your TV home screen.
4. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • The steps for this might be different depending on which TV model you have. 
  • If you need help, take a look at your TV manual or try searching on the internet how to reinstall apps on your Panasonic TV. 
5. Restart your TV. Turn it off and unplug it for 15 – 20 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it back on.
Android TV


Your Android TV might be having streaming issues, but these steps may help. 

1. Make sure your TV is up to date. You may need to refer to your manual to find out how to check for updates.

2. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 3.

3. Restart the DAZN app.

  • On your TV, navigate to the top of the screen until you see the menu bar
  • Select ‘Exit app’ on the right side of the menu
  • Restart the app from your TV home screen.
4. Force close the DAZN app.
  • Go to your settings
  • Open ‘Apps’ and select the DAZN app
  • Select ‘Force stop’
  • Restart the app.
5. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • On your Android home screen, scroll down and select ‘Settings’
  • Go to ‘Device’ then select ‘Apps’
  • Under ‘Downloaded apps’, choose the DAZN app and select ‘Uninstall’
  • Confirm the uninstall
  • Go to the Google Play Store and search for the DAZN app
  • Follow the instructions on-screen to reinstall the app.
6. Restart your TV. Turn it off and unplug it for 15 – 20 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it back on.
 
Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick


These steps may help with troubleshooting your Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick. 

1. Make sure your Fire TV or Fire Stick is up to date.

  • Navigate to ‘Settings’
  • Select ‘Device’ then ‘About’
  • Select ‘Check for system updates’
  • If there’s an update available, you can install it now.
2. Try watching a different event to the one you‘re trying to play. Wait for the event to load then switch back to your original event. If that didn’t work, try step 3.

3. Restart the DAZN app.
  • On your TV, navigate to the top of the screen until you see the menu bar
  • Select ‘Exit app’ on the right side of the menu
  • Restart the app from your TV home screen.
4. Force close the DAZN app.
  • Go to your settings in your Fire TV or Fire Stick
  • Open ‘Applications’ and select the DAZN app
  • Select ‘Force stop’
  • Restart the app.
5. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • On your Fire TV or Fire Stick, find the ‘Your apps and games’ section
  • Scroll all the way to the right and choose ‘See all’
  • Once your app overview loads, find the DAZN app and click the ‘Options’ button on your remote
  • Select ‘Uninstall’ from the menu
  • After you’ve done this, search for the DAZN app in the Home section of your Fire TV or Fire Stick
  • Select the DAZN app and follow the instructions to reinstall it.
6. Restart your TV.
  • Navigate to the settings on your Fire TV or Fire Stick
  • Find ‘Device’ and then scroll to ‘Restart’
  • Your Fire TV or Fire Stick will restart automatically.
 
Amazon Fire Tablet


These steps may help with troubleshooting your Amazon Fire Tablet. 

1. Make sure your Fire Tablet is up to date and supported.
You can find out which devices are compatible with the DAZN app here.  

2. ​​​​​​​Check that you’re connected to the internet, or that your connection is working. If your tablet has a working connection, try to go to
www.dazn.com. If you don’t get an error message, your internet is working.

3. Force-close the DAZN app.

  • On your tablet, tap the ‘Overview’ button. This is usually a small square or overlapping rectangles
  • Scroll through the apps until you find the DAZN app
  • Drag the app off of the screen to close it.
4. Reinstall the DAZN app.
  • On your Fire Tablet, find the ‘Your apps and games’ section
  • Scroll all the way to the right and choose ‘See all’
  • Once your app overview loads, find the DAZN app and click the ‘Options’ button on your remote
  • Select ‘Uninstall’ from the menu
  • After you’ve done this, search for the DAZN app in the Home section of your Fire TV or Fire Stick
  • Select the DAZN app and follow the instructions to reinstall it.
5. Restart your Fire Tablet. Press and hold the power button for 40 seconds, or until the device restarts automatically.
