How do I sign up using PayPal?
Please follow the steps below to register to DAZN via PayPal.
※You will need to have a PayPal account.
- Access https://www.dazn.com/account/signup from your web browser
- Register your name, email address, and password
- Select “PayPal” as your payment method
- Log in to your PayPal account from the PayPal log in screen
- Review and confirm your payment details
- Start watching DAZN
Upon completing registration, you will receive two emails:
- From DAZN: You will receive an email confirming the start of your subscription. It will tell you the date and price of your first payment.
- From PayPal: You will receive a payment receipt on your first payment date. This email will be sent to you each time you are charged using PayPal.
※No further emails will be sent from DAZN for each subsequent payment.
What if I do not have a PayPal account?
If you do not have a PayPal account and you select PayPal as your payment method upon registration, you will be given the option to create a PayPal account. You will need to provide your credit card details upon creating a PayPal account.

What happens if an error occurs when signing up for DAZN with PayPal?
If your PayPal payment fails for any reason during DAZN sign-up, you will be notified with a banner and redirected back to the DAZN payment page. At this point you can try again or choose a different payment method.
If you experience any errors within the PayPal payment pages themselves, such as an error when logging into your PayPal account, then you will see the standard PayPal errors.
Will my PayPal account automatically get charged every month?
Yes, your PayPal account will be charged monthly.
What will be shown on my credit card statement/invoice?
It will be under “DAZN Japan Investment”.
What if my PayPal payment method expires, or I have insufficient funds on my PayPal account?
If your payment details have expired, or you do not have enough funds in your selected account, then PayPal will prompt you to update your payment details when you attempt to sign up for DAZN.
What happens if my payments through PayPal is declined?
DAZN will send you an email to notify you that your payment has been declined. This email will contain a link to My Account where you can update your payment details. If you successfully update your payment details, you will receive an email to confirm this.
Please be aware that you will have 2 days to update your payment details with PayPal or select a different payment method before you lose access to DAZN.
How do I check my payment history?
You can check your payment history and your payment method through the “View Payment History” link on your My Account page. You can also check your payment history through your PayPal account.
Will I see my PayPal ID within My Account in DAZN?
Your registered PayPal ID will be visible on your My Account page. However, it will be masked and only partially visible.
How do I change my payment method to PayPal?
To change your payment method, log in to My Account. When logged in, go to the Payment section, select ‘Change payment method’ and follow the on-screen instructions. This will take effect from your next payment date.
You will receive two emails to confirm this:
- Confirmation of changes from DAZN - This email will confirm that you have changed your payment method.
- Confirmation of changes from PayPal - On your next payment date you will receive a payment receipt stating the amount paid. Then each time you are charged using PayPal, you will receive the same email from PayPal.
※For those registered through a third party (Apple ID, Amazon IAP, Google Play Billing)
If you are registered to DAZN via Apple ID (iTunes), Amazon, Google Play Billing, please be aware that you will not be able to change your payment method from your My Account page.
To update your payment method, please cancel your current subscription once, and re-register with PayPal (on your web browser) after your current subscription expires.
Can I change my payment method to a different PayPal account?
Yes, simply select ‘Change payment method’ within My Account.
What if I selected to pay for DAZN via PayPal, but now that I am on the PayPal screen, I’d like to use a different payment method instead?
You can click the “back” button on your web browser to return to the DAZN payment page. Here, you can select another payment method or try again with PayPal.
Can I sign-up with/change payment method to PayPal on any device?
You can only sign-up/change your DAZN payment method to PayPal through a web browser on your mobile, tablet, and desktop. However, you can manage your Paypal account on all devices supported by PayPal.
I have a PayPal payment method that is based in a country that is different from the country that I am signing up to DAZN from. Can I still sign up using PayPal?
If you wish to register to DAZN in Japan, the billing address for your PayPal account, and the billing address for your payment method must be a Japanese address.
Can I use Gift Codes if I registered to DAZN via PayPal?
Yes, you can use a Gift Code even if you have registered to DAZN via PayPal.
Can I use the Pause function if I registered to DAZN via PayPal?
Yes, you can still Pause your account if you have registered via PayPal.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your account, please go to the My Account page and select ‘Cancel Subscription’.
When you successfully cancel your subscription, you will receive an email from DAZN confirming that you have cancelled your subscription. You will continue to have access to DAZN till the end of your current subscription.
You will not receive an email from PayPal if you cancel your subscription from My Account in DAZN. You will only receive an email from PayPal if you cancel your payment to DAZN from within PayPal itself.
