Madrid was a holiday destination for Dortmund, who were barely seen for 45 minutes. The Germans suffered at the hands of Atl. Madrid, with the defence "messing up" in two moves that ended in a goal. The second half was a different story, with Terzic's side coming out on top and reducing the deficit, but not worrying Diego Simeone too much, who has the advantage going into the second leg of the tie.
