Deontay Wilder is heading into next weekend’s battle with Zhilei Zhang in a confident manner after enjoying a good camp.
The American fighter, a former world champion, is fighting to save his career after losing to Joseph Parker at the end of last year.
In Zhang, Wilder is going in with a man who also lost to Parker in his last fight despite dropping the New Zealander twice.
Victory for either man is likely to secure another huge bout, but defeat is unthinkable and Wilder appears to be in positive spirits.
“It’s been a real fun camp, real exciting, my focus has been on point, my mindset has been on point, my aggression has been off the chart, and I’m ready to go,” said Wilder on his Instagram page.
“I could say a lot of things but on June 1st it’s going to be the revealing and everyone’s going to be the witness. I feel like I’m ready, I sound and look like I’m ready in all aspects of it.”
