<p>This year's slate features three games, starting with Bills vs. Lions in Detroit. The Bills (7-3) return to MIchigan for the second straight game after last week's 31-23 victory over the Brown at Ford Field, which was Buffalo's temporary home due to a massive snowstorm in Western New York. <p>Dillian Whyte returns to the ring for the first time since his loss to Tyson Fury in April when he takes on Jermaine Franklin on Saturday night live on <a href="https://www.dazn.com/home">DAZN</a>. </p>

<p>Whyte cannot afford any slip-ups against the American as he hopes to land some big fights in 2023, including a potential rematch with domestic rival Anthony Joshua.</p>

<p>But is a second fight something which Whyte deserves? Former WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye had his say and believes Whyte is in a strong position to negotiate a second meeting with the London 2012 gold medallist. </p>

<p>"Does Derek Chisora deserve a fight against Tyson Fury? Boxers don’t get what they deserve, they get what they negotiate. That’s it. Put yourself in a position to negotiate and he’s [Dillian Whyte] in a great position at the moment," Haye told <a href="https://www.betfred.com/">Betfred's Lightweight Boxing Show</a>. </p>

<p>"He’s the guy who pushed Anthony Joshua, he’s from London and there’s a history there. They’ve both won one fight each against each other as Dillian beat AJ in the amateurs and AJ beat Dillian as a pro. This is the biggest fight right now for Dillian Whyte and whether people believe he deserves it or not is irrelevant.</p>

<p>"When does a boxer ever get what they deserve? He’s in a good position, even though he’s lost two of his previous three fights, because he brings the action.”</p>

<p>Joshua and Whyte last met in December 2015 in a fight which saw Joshua stop 'The Bodysnatcher' in round seven. </p>

<p>After several failed attempts at rehabilitation, the situation is changing for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, the son of Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.</p>

<p>Speaking in an exlcusive interview with <a href="https://www.dazn.com/home">DAZN</a>, Chavez Sr. revealed that his son's prolonged absence from the ring was due to a nine month spell in rehab and the boxing legend delved into his own experiences within that setting.</p>

<p>"I have lived it first-hand with my sons Julio and Omar. Unfortunately, even though they saw all my stumbles and they saw all my drug addiction, it seems that they followed my behaviour and for me, it has been extremely complicated and difficult because I know what it's like to be locked up," Chavez Sr said.</p>

<p>"I know what it's like to be there for four months. Having your house out there, your kids, your cars, your money, and being in rehab eating rotten vegetables and getting up at 6 o'clock in the morning to take a bath in freezing cold water. Not being able to talk to anyone, not being able to move, it's really hard.</p>

<p>"And me, having to take that step to put my children there because my clinics have never helped them because they are mine and they do what they want. Now I send Julio, I sent him, and imagine how I feel, I've cried like you can't imagine."</p>

<p>While this has been an emotional time for Chavez Sr, he believes a return to the ring for his son could come sooner rather than later following a recent visit. </p>

<p>Whyte heads into the fight on the back of a crushing defeat against Tyson Fury earlier this year, but if successful against the unbeaten American this weekend, Whyte wants to revisit that domestic rivalry. </p>

<p>As well as having Fury on his radar, Whyte would also welcome the chance to level the series with Anthony Joshua.  </p>

<p>Whyte was stopped by his former amateur rival back in 2015 and he’s been eager for a rematch ever since. Avenging the defeats to both men is high on his list of priorities as he prepares to resume his career. </p>

<p>“I definitely want to become Heavyweight Champion of the World and I’d love to get the opportunity to avenge my two losses,” said Whyte at the pre-fight workout.  </p>

<p>Following a second loss to unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in August, Anthony Joshua will now be looking to build himself back up and force himself into the world title picture once more. </p>

<p>With a return to the ring slated for the first half of 2023, it's still unknown who will be leading his coaching team after Robert Garcia joined Joshua's camp for the Usyk rematch. </p>

<p>One name which has offered his coaching services is boxing legend Roy Jones Jr, but after a mixed experience with Chris Eubank Jr, the 53-year-old stated that he would only train Joshua if he is the main voice in the corner team. </p>

<p>"He's already got a team around him who might not accept outside knowledge. Chris did not have a team, so Chris was a little different. I won't be a secondary guy, no. That's definitely not happening. You got to be a head coach or no coach. If i'm the head coach i'll go, if i'm not I won't go," Jones Jr told <a href="https://www.olbg.com/">OLBG</a>. </p>

<p>"I won't have a true impact in what I'm doing if I'm a second coach."</p>

<p>Jones Jr also believes he can strike a strong coaching relationship between himself and Joshua.</p>

<p>“There's a lot of potential there that I can work with. But like I said, he already has a team of people and I don't want them to feel threatened because I'm not there to push them out the way. I'm there to just help him. But I'm not going to argue with people who help him," Jones Jr continued.</p>

<p>"I will help him if I can, and if I can't I go on my way. But as I said, I'm not there to be second [coach], watching things go wrong that I know are wrong and sit there and tell them it's good.</p>

<p>"That's why I say it's about chemistry. It seemed that we had decent chemistry in Dubai. He seemed hungry, he seemed that he still wanted it, I told him 'I can't teach you if you don't want it, I can't teach you if you've not got the heart to do it, but if you've got the heart to do it then I can give you what you need'."</p>

<p>A 2-0 defeat to Ecuador was a flattering result for Qatar. They struggled in possession and couldn’t muster a shot on target against the South Americans as they became the first ever hosts to lose their World Cup opener.</p>

<p>Senegal frustrated Netherlands for long periods before eventually losing courtesy of two late goals from Gakpo and Klaassen. They piled plenty of pressure on the Dutch defence throughout the contest and will feel slightly unfortunate to come out of that match with nothing.</p>

<p>Despite the absence of star player Sadio Mane, Senegal managed to create a few good chances against Netherlands. Ismaila Sarr was a constant threat on the left wing and Qatar will likely find his pace difficult to deal with.</p>

<p>There’s nothing to suggest that Senegal will concede here, and a convincing victory against Qatar would give them a lot of confidence ahead of a potential ‘all or nothing’ crunch match against Ecuador. </p>

<p>After winning their respective openers 2-0, both teams know that victory in this fixture will likely seal their place in the Round of 16.</p>

<p>Netherlands left it late to overcome Senegal, and they’ll need to solve their defensive frailties if they want to avoid an upset against Ecuador.</p>

<p>The South Americans looked dominant against Qatar, with Enner Valencia unlucky not to leave with his first international hat-trick. They were rarely threatened defensively, and it remains to be seen how they will cope against the Dutch attacking threat.</p>

<p>The worry for Ecuador was that they seemed to pose less of a threat after Valencia received a knock to his knee midway through the first half. They only registered three shots on target and they'll need to forge more chances to get anything from this match.</p>

<p>Netherlands made the right changes against Senegal and their attacking depth was evident when Davy Klaassen grabbed a goal from the bench deep in injury time. That should prove to be the difference against their opponents in this one, and we expect them to pick up a victory that could guarantee their spot in the next phase of the competition.</p>

<p>After England's dominant 6-2 victory over Iran, the Three Lions will be hopeful of reaching the latter stages of a major tournament for the third consecutive time.</p>

<p>USA were a team full of promise during the first 45 minutes of their opening group game. They pressed their opponents at every opportunity and their physical approach gave Wales little time to play themselves out of danger. Their second half display seemed to lack the same mentality and they allowed the Welsh to create chances and come away with a draw.</p>

<p>Both teams were attack minded for large parts of their first fixtures and that should provide plenty of opportunities at both ends of the field. Tim Weah displayed great movement and composure to open the scoring against Wales, while England pose threats from everywhere, even substitutes Grealish, Rashford and Wilson all had a part to play in the two goals scored after their introductions.</p>

<p>A potential injury to Harry Maguire could take away a large ariel threat from set-pieces for England, but they have more attacking options in almost every other department. The attacking mentality should see both teams get on the scoresheet, but England’s squad depth should see them overcome USA with relative ease.</p>

England face USA in next World Cup 2022 game: A look at Friday's odds

<p>Canada made their first official World Cup finals apparance since 1986 on Wednesday, but it ended the same way as every game did 36 years ago as they failed to get on the scoresheet in a 1-0 loss to 2018's third-placed team Belgium.</p>

<p>Star player Alphonso Davies had the chance to immortalise himself in Canadian sports history from the penalty spot in the 11th minute, but his effort was tame and subsequently saved by Thibaut Courtois.</p>

<p>Michy Batshuayi then put the group favourites ahead just before the interval, and though they looked good in possession for much of the game they were unable to extend their lead while the underdogs showed enough promise to convince many that their first World Cup goal will come this year.</p>

<p>Canada will strive for that elusive goal, a first-ever World Cup win and perhaps even a second-placed finish in Group F when they take on Morocco and Croatia later on in Qatar. Those two sides played out a 0-0 draw earlier in the day in their own tournament curtain-raiser.</p>

<p>Jermaine Franklin’s promoter believes that Dillian Whyte may be complacent ahead of his fight this weekend. </p>

<p>Whyte faces Franklin live on DAZN to end the year with a bout in London, and the former WBC mandatory champion is the 12-1 favourite ahead of the clash against the unbeaten American.</p>

<p>Salita, however, thinks that while Whyte is looking for a fight to ease his way back into the ring after losing to Tyson Fury in his title shot match-up, Franklin will be a tough opponent.</p>

<p>“He’s an undefeated American heavyweight, but he’s had sparse activity because of COVID and things and there’s not a lot of viable fighters in the heavyweight division,” Salita said to <a href="https://www.boxingscene.com/dmitriy-salita-franklins-promoter-certain-dillian-whyte-taking-jermaine-lightly--170651" target="_blank">BoxingScene.com</a>. “I do believe they’re looking past him. Even in that promo video, where Dillian Whyte spoke bad of the fight, he says, ‘There was no one better to fight.’ So, I do believe he’s overlooking Jermaine.</p>

<p>“Dillian Whyte is a very experienced guy. He fought Tyson Fury in his last fight, in a massive event. He fought Povetkin twice before that. So, name-wise, Jermaine is obviously not as accomplished and not as big as those guys. So, without a doubt, he’s taking Jermaine lightly.”</p>

<p>He continued: “I think the key factor in the fight will be that Dillian Whyte is pretty explosive in the first three rounds. After that, he slows down, he gets sloppy and his chin becomes more susceptible. Jermaine has a good chin, is pretty active, good jab, good power, and I believe that after the fourth round it’ll be Jermaine’s fight to win.</p>

<p>“Jermaine is a young, hungry fighter. He’s a [2014] national Golden Gloves champion who has had some solid wins in his career. I believe it’s a real close, close fight, difficult. A young prospect in Jermaine and Dillian Whyte, who’s a proven veteran who’s a bit on the other side of his peak. So, for that reason I believe that it’s Jermaine’s fight to win. I believe that he has the ability, the stamina and the will to be a champion, to be a top heavyweight. And he’s definitely gonna put it all on the line November 26th – there’s no doubt about that.”</p>

<p>Zach Parker believes he knows how to defeat Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.</p>

<p>The British super middleweight is set to fight John Ryder this Saturday for the vacant WBO interim championship at the O2 Arena.</p>

<p>The winner of the clash would have a good shout for fighting Canelo next, assuming the governing body ordered a mandatory defence, and if the Mexican decided to defend his belt against a lower-profile fighter.</p>

<p>Canelo is believed to be eyeing a May 2023 return after surgery and many believe his priority is a rematch with Dmitry Bivol after losing to the WBA light heavyweight champion six months ago. </p>

<p>Bivol, however, is wanting to pursue a clash with Artur Beterbiev for the chance to become undisputed at 175lbs, and that recent win for Bivol against Canelo leads Parker to think he is vulnerable.</p>

<p>Australian super lightweight Steve Spark has made his prediction for Saturday's fight between Jose Zepeda and Regis Prograis. </p>

<p>The pair are set to meet for the vacant WBC world super lightweight title at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, and Spark believes it will be a close contest. </p>

<p>"I actually got to train alongside Regis when we were in Houston at the Main Street Boxing Gym. We weren’t able to get some rounds together obviously, because Zepeda is a southpaw," Spark told <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/show/Competition:cdkm65em8l4jxhtpyo6yov858/ArticleId:uisxwitx0bqfzvq1zxjk8qdy">The DAZN Boxing Show</a>. </p>

<p>"He’s looking very strong and that’s definitely a 50/50 fight, I’m going to be watching for sure.</p>

<p>Akin ‘Ak’ Reyes and Barak Bess praised both Greg Hardy and Hasim Rahman Jr. for their efforts in the ring on Saturday.</p>

<p>The pair of them fought on the Deen The Great vs. Walid Sharks card, and Rahman had been due to headline until his opponent Vitor Belfort withdrew with days to go, as a result of contracting COVID.</p>

<p>Rahman fought another crossover fighter, Greg Hardy, who has experience in MMA as well as the NFL, and the professional boxer was the favourite ahead of the bout, despite giving up about 100lbs in weight to his opponent.</p>

<p>However, Hardy used his strength and size advantage, and coupled it with some impressive athleticism in order to secure a victory on the night, and even had energy to spare with some after-the-bell dancing.</p>

<p>Speaking on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEEfmEQaamk">The DAZN Boxing Show</a>, Ak believed the power Hardy had was just too much for Rahman, who typically fights at heavyweight.</p>

<p>“Greg was too heavy, probably 100lbs more than Hasim Rahman Jr.. The weight plays a part, but he was an athletic big guy. He brought the heat the entire fight, all four rounds. He just overwhelmed him.</p>

<p>Bess agreed, adding: “You don’t have a disparity of 94lbs [in professional boxing], when you get that much of a disparity, sometimes even skills can be overwhelmed, but that wasn’t the case. Greg Hardy didn’t rough him up, didn’t grab him, he was actually boxing. You look at the first round, that’s how I thought the fight would go: Hasim Rahman jabbing, staying away.</p>

<p>“But that second round Hardy closed that distance, Boom, the jab was sharp. Every punch that landed was able to hurt. That’s when that poundage came in.</p>

<p>“This guy was a fighter, he knew how to throw a fight. I just didn’t expect him to jab like that, to move like he moved. After the fight he still had energy, he was dancing. I think maybe Hasim Rahman tired out, because those punches can take the wind out of you.</p>

<p>“Credit for Hasim Rahman fighting the late replacement 100lbs lighter and for saying, ‘I need a rematch.’”</p>
