<p>Joe Joyce has his sights on a fight with Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk in future, claims his manager Sam Jones. </p>

<p>Joshua is putting his IBF, WBA and WBO belts up for grabs when he meets his mandatory WBO challenger Usyk  on September 25  at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Usyk and Joyce had been expected to meet as they waited for Joshua vs. Tyson Fury to be resolved, but Jones believes that once the dust settles on any undisputed clash, Joyce will have a shot at a title.</p>

<p>Speaking to <a href="https://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/12390937/anthony-joshua-vs-oleksandr-usyk-joe-joyce-will-be-ringside-to-challenge-winner-for-future-heavyweight-title-fight" target="_blank">Sky Sports</a>, Jones said: "Absolutely. Joe is going there to say: 'Look, I'm No 1 in the WBO, let's go!'</p>

<p>"Joe will be ringside and is looking at them as his future opponents."</p>

<p>Joyce will be the WBO mandatory, and Jones acknowledges that he may have to wait for his chance</p>

<p>"No, it won't be next," admitted Jones. "I believe the Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight will happen if they both come through their respective fights. </p>

<p>"Then after two [Joshua vs Fury] fights, Joe could fight one of them.</p>

<p>"But Joe will fight for the WBO title before AJ and Fury's rematch.</p>

<p>"Their first fight will be for the undisputed title but, before the second, I believe the belts will become vacant.</p>

<p>"Joe will fight whoever he needs to fight for that belt, then the winner of AJ vs Fury.</p>

<p>"Joe respects Joshua, likes him as a person, they get on well. But Joe wants to fight the best. It's business.</p>

<p>"AJ and Fury are the best so that's who Joe wants to challenge."</p>

<p>DAZN has secured the rights for the new Extreme E motorsports series, an electric rally competition that launches its inaugural season with five events across the globe.</p>

<p>The third event will take place in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland as the Arctic X-Prix this weekend, with the qualifying stages taking place on Saturday 28 August before moving onto the race proper on Sunday 29 August. Qualifying starts on Saturday at 11:30am, and the race action begins on Sunday at 10am GMT.</p>

<p>Extreme E can only be watched on streaming and broadcast services, as no spectators will be permitted in order to minimise the environmental impact on the locations. Each team will be required to field one male and one female driver, with each driver taking a lap each.</p>

<p>The series aims to bring awareness to climate change and environmental damage done to each of the locations to be featured, with a mission, “to highlight the destruction of our planet and to inspire people, companies and locations to urgently change course and go on the positive journey we must all take.”</p>

<p>Sergio Mora admires Jake Paul’s money-making skills but believes a loss to Tyron Woodley would wipe out his career hopes.</p>

<p>Paul takes on former UFC champion Woodley at the weekend as he looks to build on his 3-0 professional record, one that has been achieved without fighting an opponent with a traditional boxing background.</p>

<p>Speaking on JABS as part of the <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/home/ArticleId:bn4z7o3djll01vdwrsir8sqv7" target="_blank">DAZN Boxing Show</a>, Mora suggested that Paul had assiduously managed his apparent career progression.</p>

<p>“You can't hate the player, hate the game. But in this sense, I hate the player,” he began.</p>

<p>“And I feel bad for the game and the sport of boxing to be giving the big opportunities, the social media guys that have a large following. It's kind of sad. But look, like I said before, I'm going to adapt. I'm not going to die. </p>

<p>“I gotta respect the fact that they're getting the ring. But they're not doing it against boxers. That's the only complaint that I have. These guys are doing it against basketball players. They're doing it against 40-year-old MMA fighters, guys who have never been in the ring. I don't know what to tell you. I don't know how to feel about it. You know, they're laughing all the way to the bank and good for them. I'm hating on the player and I feel bad for the game.”</p>

<p>However, he warned that by failing to fight a boxer so far, any loss to a less credible fighter would stop the 24-year-old YouTuber in his tracks.</p>

<p>“Because one thing you do got to give the Jake brothers, or whatever they are called - they came, they saw and they cashed in, they're making a lot of money by not fighting real fighters,” he said.</p>

<p>“But if he gets knocked out by a guy that's not even a professional boxer. Yeah, it's the end. I certainly hope people are done buying this. I hope that the network's done investing in this charade. It's gone. If they're not gonna fight real fighters, I don't want to hear no more of these guys.”</p>

<p>Speaking to the <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/home/ArticleId:bn4z7o3djll01vdwrsir8sqv7" target="_blank">DAZN Boxing Show</a>, the Matchroom head explained that for his fighter, he is only interested in becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion, and therefore WBC champion Fury is in his sights.</p>

<p>However Wilder forced through a trilogy rematch with Fury and will fight him on October 9, two weeks after Joshua defends his belts against WBO mandatory Oleksandr Usyk. Assuming Joshua wins, he will then wait to see who comes away in possession of the last belt he wants to get his hands on.</p>

<p>“Whoever has the belt. It's never been about Wilder. It's never been about Fury. It's just been about undisputed and that belt,” Hearn confirmed.</p>

<p>“So you know, I hope again, I've a horrible feeling that fight doesn't happen on October 9th. I hope it does but I'm not confident. And AJ's got to just take care of Usyk. This is going to be a really, really tough fight. But whoever wins that fight, Wilder or Fury is the target, because it's only ever been about undisputed. And First things first: Usyk, September 25th.”</p>

<p>Eddie Hearn believes that he is close to making a fight between Devin Haney and his WBC mandatory challenger JoJo Diaz. </p>

<p>That may come as a surprise as Diaz has appeared keener on fighting the previous interim champion, Ryan Garcia, who was also reluctant to take on 22-year-old Haney.</p>

<p>Speaking to the <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/home/ArticleId:bn4z7o3djll01vdwrsir8sqv7" target="_blank">DAZN Boxing Show</a>, Hearn said there was a good chance of the fight going ahead. </p>

<p>“Now we're going through the numbers as early as this week, and trying to get that made,” he said.</p>

<p>“JoJo, saying, ‘Oh, I could fight Ryan Garcia, I could fight’. I don't know whether Ryan will fight this year. I saw a post yesterday that he put out saying 2022 is going to be my year - big fights only. </p>

<p>“So does that mean you're still planning on running out this year? Are you just going to wait? I don't know. But these months are coming up quick. It’s September next week. So when you start thinking about October, we're getting ready. We're looking at possible dates in September, but even our October shows that we're announcing probably next week. That's not far away. Seven, eight weeks away.</p>

<p>“You know, and when you start talking about a December fight, people think, ‘December, that's not that long away.’ You got [Anthony Joshua] one month today, September 25.”</p>

<p>Eddie Hearn believes that Ronaldo ‘Rolly’ Romero could make a fight with Devin Haney.</p>

<p>25-year-old American Romero has been mentioned as potential opponent for current WBC lightweight champion Haney, who has struggled to find rivals ready to step up.</p>

<p>Both JoJo Diaz and Ryan Garcia appear keener on fighting one another than they did exercising their mandatory option against the 22-year-old champion.</p>

<p>Speaking on the <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/home/ArticleId:bn4z7o3djll01vdwrsir8sqv7" target="_blank">DAZN Boxing Show</a>, Hearn believes that Haney-Romero would make sense.</p>

<p>“Yeah, I think so. I mean, Rolly’s kind of come out of nowhere,” he said.</p>

<p>“I mean, he's been like on the on the scene of the the hardcore boxing channels for a while and then obviously, his last fight was on a bigger stage, a bigger pro platform. </p>

<p>“And I think it’s a fight that would have a lot of juice in it. I think it's a fight that would have a lot of beef in it. And therefore, it's a fight that would make sense. I must say that the target remains Jojo Diaz for November to Devin Haney. That's the fight we want to make, because that's a real fight. And that's it. That's a good fight. </p>

<p>“I mean no disrespect to Rolly. But I just don't feel that’s a difficult fight for Devin Haney. I think JoJo Diaz is a multi weight world champion coming off a good win against [Javier] Fortuna. That's a proper fight for the division. So Devin wants those big fights. And if it's not [Teofimo] Lopez or Ryan Garcia or [Gervonta] Tank [Davis], JoJo Diaz is a great option. So that's where our priorities remain at the moment.”</p>

Woodley attempted a couple of different ways to get over to his mother and the member of Paul's team but was held back by security. There were obscenities, pushing and shoving between the fight camps until security and police were able to get Woodley and his team out of the ballroom.

<p>Neither fighter nor any from the respective fight teams suffered any injuries, as it could have been a lot worse. <br />

"Just back and forth banter that got out of control between the team and his family members," Paul told DAZN News about 30 minutes after the incident. "Tensions are high. Everyone is in the wrong. I told my team that too. No one was just acting up for no reason. Everyone was talking trash, and it just escalated too fast. Not a good look. If it was like anything else, I'd be like, ‘Cool, let's run it (on social media)’. But when it's family members and moms on Women's Equality Day, I'm like, ‘I don't know about this."<br />

Leading up to Sunday's battle, Paul and Woodley have been spewing venom towards each other. It started in the locker room after<a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-US/news/boxing/jake-paul-vs-ben-askren-live-updates-results-highlights-from-full-card/1lubilmmexdyw1aepkao6v0rmi" target="_blank"> Paul knocked out Woodley teammate Ben Askren</a>. The social media content creator told Woodley that he could be next and end up like his friend. Woodley didn't take kindly to that and has vowed to be the one who rids boxing of the 24-year-old. It's even gotten to the point where Paul and Woodley made a bet the loser has to get a tattoo of the other's name.<br />

Christmas cards are unlikely to be exchanged. But could there at least be a truce once the fight ends?<br />

"Have to see how it goes (the fight) to be honest," Paul said. "I thought I'd be cordial with Ben Askren. I had no bad blood toward him. Then he got on the interviews and started s—talking and making excuses, saying that he didn't even feel the hit. F— you. You're a b—. They don't like you. So it depends on how Tyron handles it. And if he doesn't get the tattoo after I beat him, then I'm gonna be like, ‘That's not cool. Like you shook on it as a man’." </p>

<p>Eddie Hearn revealed that he suspected that Yordenis Ugas was going to upset Manny Pacquiao ahead of his fight last weekend.</p>

<p>Speaking on the <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-CA/sport/Sport:2x2oqzx60orpoeugkd754ga17/ArticleId:1ewxzsgqpu0ak1qpvjgxts38n7">DAZN Boxing Show</a>, the Matchroom chief explained that even a fighter as experienced as the 42-year-old Filipino senator can be thrown off by a late change of opponent.</p>

<p>Pacquiao had expected to fight Errol Spence Jr., but the 31-year-old unified champion had to withdraw to undergo eye surgery.</p>

<p>Ugas stepped in and was a decisive winner at the weekend despite going into the fight as underdog.</p>

<p>“On about Thursday or Friday, I thought to myself, ‘I've really got a strange feeling Ugas is gonna win this fight,’ he explained.</p>

<p>“And I was gonna tweet it. But I thought, ‘No, I don't just in case you look silly.’</p>

<p>“And then when I woke up Sunday morning, I should have tweeted it. But I just think it's very difficult. We've seen it time and time again, for fighters to adapt to a changing opponent, especially so late in a camp, I know that.</p>

<p>“Manny is super experienced. He's boxed a lot of styles before. But when you've been training for Spence for eight or nine weeks, it’s different. And in terms of Ugas, it’s a different kind of stuff. So I think that he probably underestimated the opponent change a little bit, or how easy that would be. And he's just not the fighter that he once was. It's only Father Time.</p>

<p>“I'm not taking anything away from Ugas. He's a good fighter as well. But Manny Pacquiao in his prime would deal with Ugas. And I was actually quite pleased. Although I do think it has a little bit to do with style and changing your opponent. I was actually quite pleased it wasn't Spence in the ring with him because I think the bigger guy, the more destructive guy.”</p>

<p>Hearn added that he thought Pacquiao should now retire after suffering from leg cramps in the fight.</p>

<p>“It was nice just to see Manny do 12 rounds and hopefully that's it. When a fighter says that my legs just didn't feel there, and after two rounds, that's not overtraining at that age,” he said</p>

<p>“That's just Father Time. And he's an incredible fighter, incredible ambassador, great person. You talk about a multi-division champ. He's a legend.”</p>

<p>Unbeaten heavyweights Filip Hrgović (12-0, 10 KOs) and Marko Radonjic (22-0, 22 KOs) clash in a ‘Battle of the Giants’ on September 10 at the Wörthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria for the IBF international heavyweight title, live on RTL in Croatia and DAZN in over 170 countries and territories worldwide.</p>

<p>Hrgović, the 29-year-old from Zagreb, Croatia, is one of the most feared fighters in the heavyweight division. He returns to action following a sensational knockout win over American heavyweight Rydell Booker on November 7 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. <p>New WBA featherweight champion Leigh Wood is ready to take on Kid Galahad next summer.</p>

<p>Galahad became the IBF champion in August at Fight Camp, the same night that took his belt from Xu Can.</p>

<p>The pair of them now look on course to meet next summer in a unification bout, but for now Wood is enjoying his success.</p>

<p>“Yeah, it's great. It took a while to sink in, obviously,” he said to the DAZN Boxing Show. </p>

<p>“Something you always look up to is a key when you first walk into the gym. You know, once you've done some fun once you've reached a certain point, you always want more, you want to achieve your maximum potential. </p>

<p>“You don't just want to stop and look back. So I don't want to overthink it too much. I've done what I've set out to do because I've got to keep going, keep achieving and just bring some big fights back to my city.”</p>

<p>One of those fights could be against old sparring partner Galahad.</p>

<p>“I'm smiling now because I know, the experience I've gained, how much progress since leaving the gym is 10 times more than his progress since I was at the gym,” he said of the champion.</p>

<p>“And that's what's gonna make the difference in this fight. I know what he's doing in that gym day in, day out. He hasn't got a clue what I'm doing, that's going to be my power going into the fight with him next summer.”</p>

<p>Adam Catterall and Nick Peet discussed Manny Pacquiao’s options as he considers his next move following the weekend’s loss to Yordenis Ugas.</p>

<p>The 42-year-old Filipino senator looked a different boxer from the one who previously dominated opponents, and he hinted in an Instagram post that he may be considering retirement.</p>

<p>Appearing on JABS as part of the DAZN Boxing Show, Peet argued that defeat to Ugas would be an honourable way to go out.</p>

<p>“I don't think there's a shame that he goes out like that either,” he said.</p>

<p>“I think he's lost to a really good fighter. Ugas knew this was his opportunity finally, to make that final step to prove himself and define his own legacy a little bit. I think he did that against senator Pacquiao and thought he was outstanding.</p>

<p>“He came in at late notice and replaced Errol Spence.  I'm kind of glad it wasn't Spence because I don't think Manny would have lasted the 12 rounds against Errol Spence. But I think going out like that against Ugas here in the final bell, losing, but losing convincingly on points. I think that's the best way possible for a legend like Manny to go out.”</p>

<p>Catterall meanwhile predicted that Pacquiao could elect to take one last high-profile fight for a payday, such as the previously discussed match-up with former UFC champion and erstwhile boxer Conor McGregor.</p>

<p>“I don't think he is going out, mate,” he began.</p>

<p>“I think there's too many temptations in fights that we're going to talk about, because we're living in a crazy world. We've got the Conor McGregors of this world knocking about, we've got these YouTube lads knocking about. There's a lot of money knocking about out there for senator Pacquiao to come out, and maybe even have a bit of a scrap when he's a president. I think he might even go down that route, my man.”</p>

What should Manny Pacquiao do next?

<p>Tony Bellew believes Manny Pacquiao should retire from boxing after his loss to Yordenis Ugas.</p>

<p>The 42-year-old Filipino boxing legend was well beaten by the Cuban WBA champion, and there has been speculation he will retire in anticipation of running for the presidency of his home country in 2022.</p>

<p>However, he may plump for a Ugas rematch, attempt to set up the originally planned clash with Errol Spence Jr, or perhaps make a high-profile fight for one last payday.</p>

<p>Former world cruiserweight champion Bellew believes that Pacquiao should instead call time on his career.</p>

<p>“I think it's time for Manny Pacquiao to call it a day but only he will have the true answers deep down in his heart,” he told the DAZN Boxing Show.</p>

<p>“It's very hard being a fighter and letting go. But I think he'll know what his performance is in the ring. He is the one fighter out there who's never been gun shy or not able to pull the trigger at the right times.</p>

<p>“I don't want to take anything away from Ugas. He's never shown that kind of form before - we've seen him lose to the likes of Showtime Shawn Porter, we've seen him lose to a lot of lesser faces than Manny Pacquiao. It didn't sit well with me to be honest. And it just seemed like a shell of Manny Pacquiao. </p>

<p>Manny Pacquiao has hinted that he may retire in a post on his Instagram account.</p>

<p>The 42-year-old Filipino senator was well beaten by Cuban fighter Yordenis Ugas last weekend after Pacquiao had spent two years out of the ring. He had been expected to fight Errol Spence Jr until the unified champion had to withdraw due to needing eye surgery.</p>

<p>Speculation persists that he will attempt a rematch with Ugas, pursue a clash with Spence, or make one last high-profile appearance.</p>

<p>In an Instagram post on Wednesday night, Pacquiao said: “I have come to this point in my career by the grace of God. It is He who gave me the strength to fight. I can look back and honestly say that I gave my best.</p>

<p>“My family and you, the fans, have been with me all the way. I will not focus on the defeat, but instead count my blessings. God bless everyone!”</p>

<p>Pacquiao had blamed leg cramps in part for the defeat he suffered, and his trainer Freddie Roach has been non-committal about the legendary boxer’s future.</p>

<p>Tyron Woodley is preparing for his fight with Jake Paul by taking tips from Floyd Mayweather.</p>

<p>Paul fights former UFC champion Woodley on Sunday night, taking his 3-0 professional record into the ring against his toughest test yet. Woodley has been in contact with Mayweather to get his advice.</p>

<p>"The times I worked with Floyd [Mayweather], he was very vocal. You couldn't do nothing wrong. WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday in Bexar County after being issued three felony robbery warrants by San Antonio police after an incident in July. Court records show the second-degree warrants were issued on Aug. 7.<br />

The 31-year-old Charlo turned himself in and was booked at a satellite office at the Bexar County Courthouse and released on bond bout 30 minutes later. Charlo's attorney says the boxer did nothing wrong and feels the San Antonio Police Department is pressing forward with the case to embarass his client.<br />

"Jermall stole no money from anyone at the club & made no threats," the attorney told <a href="https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2021/08/25/world-champion-boxer-facing-felony-robbery-charges-in-san-antonio/" target="_blank">KSATNews</a>. <br />

Charlo was in San Antonio to support his brother Jermell's undisputed junior middleweight title fight against Brian Castano on July 17. The day before, on July 16, San Antonio police received a telephone call around 2 a.m. that Charlo had allegedly assaulted a waitress and stole her tips. <br />

According police documents, Charlo went to pay the bill and his credit card was declined three times. The report also states that once Charlo was told he needed to provide another form of payment, he accused the waitress of trying to steal the credit card, grabbed two black waiter books and took his identification from one and cash from the another. SAPD claims surveillance video from the facility shows Charlo "being very animated" and looks to "be upset and yelling" at the waitress and two other managers of the establishment. <br />

The warrant also says that Charlo and his entourage “pushed their way out of the building and left the location” in a limousine bus. The report states the waitress allegedly suffered a minor leg injury.<br />

Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs) last fought in June, defeating Juan Montiel via unanimous decision. His next fight hasn't been revealed.

<p>Former world champion Sergio Mora believes that Manny Pacquiao has earned enough respect to take one more fight to line his pockets before retiring.</p>

<p>Pacquiao lost to Yordenis Ugas at the weekend, but Mora saluted the 42-year-old’s efforts despite the defeat.</p>

<p>The rankings, announced last week, put Irish champion Katie Taylor at number one, ahead of Claressa Shields.</p>

<p>Shields is currently taking a sabbatical from boxing to compete in mixed martial arts, but there is every chance that she will return to the ring in due course.</p>

<p>Speaking on the <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/home/ArticleId:1cfkd5gz5ojvc1q6298rbq8x2v" target="_blank">DAZN Boxing Show</a>, the pair discussed the top 10, and but went on to examine the top three in detail.</p>

<p>Beginning with Amanda Serrano, Akin ‘Ak’ Reyes said:  “I think Amanda at number three ,she deserved that slot. She's actually deserved it for a while in my opinion.</p>

<p>“This is where it gets tricky: we got Katie Taylor at number one. Claressa Shields at number two. Now listen, I love Katie Taylor, super talented, obviously, gold medalist. You know, Claressa, two-time gold medalist. And we love both of these ladies.”</p>

<p>However, Reyes believed that Shields is the better boxer.</p>

<p>“I just think that Claressa has accomplished way too much in a professional standings, where she needs to be at number one until somebody comes close to that,” he claimed.</p>

<p>“Katie has some big fights down the line. Maybe if Katie beats Amanda Serrano, I think you might have to put at number one, but this is a good argument here.2</p>

<p>Barak Bess agreed, beginning: “I think Amanda Serrano is really really slept on. I think she just beat somebody who was on the pound-for-pound list, and that's [Daniela] Bermudez and she's knocking women out. </p>

<p>“But I definitely agree with you. Claressa Shields is just accomplishing so much. I mean, nowadays, the pound-for-pound lists are a little bit different. It includes accomplishments, it's not just raw talent, skill, but even that, Claressa shows that she doesn't have any close fights. She's beating everybody convincingly. And that tells me that she’s number one. “</p>

<p>One of the biggest wins of Manny Pacquiao’s illustrious career occurred in December 2008 when the Filipino sensation destroyed Oscar De La Hoya in eight one-sided rounds. That result catapulted Pacquiao to a mainstream audience and it also ended “The Golden Boy’s” time as a top-level fighter. </p>

<p>In 2021, with De La Hoya set to make a comeback against former UFC champion, Vitor Belfort, on September 11th, the Californian fighter has heaped huge praise on his former rival. Pacquiao was defeated last weekend by Yordenis Ugas and speculation is spreading that he’s about to call it a day. De La Hoya believes Pacquiao’s will go down as boxing’s finest ever fighter. </p>

<p>“I think [Ugas] fought a disciplined fight,” said De La Hoya when speaking to the media during a workout ahead of next month’s fight. “The times that he wasn't disciplined, Manny Pacquiao would just eat him alive with his combinations. I thought Manny Pacquiao looked good, just Ugas didn't make him look good.   </p>

<p>“He went 12 hard rounds with a younger guy. That's the problem with us fighters. We go for the younger guy. It happened with me and Manny Pacquiao when he kicked my a—. It's not necessarily that when I was at my peak and fought Manny he wasn't the better guy. He was the younger guy with more energy, you know what I'm saying? </p>

<p>“Pacquiao is a legend. He's the best. He'll probably go down as the greatest fighter we've seen, ever,” added De La Hoya. “It was a privilege watching his fight [versus Ugas]. It's probably the end of an era. We enjoyed a great ride, and we wish him all the best.” </p>
